Regency Properties Acquires Shopping Center

Evansville, Indiana: Regency Properties announces the acquisition of Goody’s Plaza in Madison, IN. This 43,720 square foot property is being added to Regency’s portfolio of 22 properties throughout the Midwest. Goody’s Plaza, located in the city’s primary retail and entertainment area on Highway 62, is currently anchored by a Goody’s department store and Dollar Tree store.

Upon acquisition, Regency immediately executed a lease agreement with Hibbett Sporting Goods for a 4,945 square foot retail store to be constructed. In addition, Regency announced an additional 2,400 square feet of retail space will be built for two new store rooms for retailers yet to be announced. When completed in the spring of 2008, Goody’s Plaza will total over 51,000 square feet.

Madison, Indiana is the county seat of Jefferson County. The new center expands Regency’s retail holdings from six markets in Indiana to seven areas across the state. Regency Properties’ main office is in Evansville, Indiana where the company owns and manages eight distinct commercial properties. Other Regency Properties Indiana locations include Mount Vernon, Lebanon, Washington, Aurora, and Seymour. Regency also owns and manages commercial properties in Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina.
