Southwind Shopping Center Announces New Businesses
A new Chinese restaurant, the New China Buffet, has recently opened in Southwind Shopping Center in Mount Vernon, Indiana. Utilizing 5,000 square feet, the restaurant offers hundreds of buffet items, carry-out and a large, private banquet room. New China Buffet is decorated with tiles and chandeliers imported from China and is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Also at Southwind, a new concept in retail partnership convenience is being constructed. Ace Hardware will open doors as an extension of the Wesselman’s grocery store in the center. The 11,765 square feet hardware store will be accessible from both the front of the shopping center and through the south side of Wesselman’s grocery store. The stores are connected, providing shoppers with expanded choices and one-location shopping.
“We won’t be a traditional ‘big box’ store,” said Andy Riethmaier, manager of the both the new Ace Hardware store and Wesselman’s. “Instead, we’ve paired up with the local, leading grocery store to give Mount Vernon all the choices of a massive national retailer…close to home.”
Southwind Shopping Center is owned and managed by Evansville’s Regency Properties.
