Roppongi, Evansville’s newest Japanese steakhouse, opening soon at Cross Pointe Commerce Center
Evansville, Indiana - Regency Properties announced that Roppongi Japanese Steakhouse will open soon at its Cross Pointe Commerce Center on Evansville’s east side. The new restaurant will feature ten Hibachi tables, a sushi bar and a full bar. Roppongi will open in early December and serve lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Lee Weeks, owner of Roppongi, said the restaurant will bring fifteen new jobs to the area and will also employ highly experienced Japanese chefs, each with five to seven years culinary experience. It will be located in Cross Pointe Commerce Center in the building formerly operated by LA Grill & Ale House.
“We are thrilled to be opening Roppongi at Cross Pointe. It’s a great location with other popular restaurants nearby,” said Weeks. “The Regency team is awesome and it has been great working with them on this project.”
Roppongi is named for the popular Japanese shopping and entertainment district. “It is the place everyone wants to go,” said Weeks.

Starting first in Evansville with Westgate Shopping Center in 1950s, the company has grown to include 30 shopping centers and developments in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Florida.
