Jackson Park Shopping Center Announces Expansions
Two new businesses are coming to the Jackson Park Shopping center in Seymour. The first to open will be Shoe Sensation beginning with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Thursday July 29th. Shoe Sensation’s grand opening will include promotional prices, a $250 register-to-win shopping spree and free gifts to the first 100 customers after the ribbon cutting on July 29th.
The 5,700 square foot Shoe Sensation will showcase over 10,000 pairs of first run shoes. National brands such as Eastland, Clarks, and Easy Spirit for women will be featured as well as an extensive collection of junior shoes from Rocket Dog, Skechers and Union Bay. Children’s shoes will be available starting in crib sizes from popular brands including K-Swiss, Skechers and Nike. Prominent men’s brands include Dockers, Dr. Martens, Timberland, Lugz and Harley Davidson. Shoe Sensation will also carry a wide range of athletic shoes from Nike, New Balance, Adidas, Puma, Converse and others as well as skate shoes from DC, Vans, Osiris and Etnies. Additionally, Shoe Sensation carries the latest styles of Shape Ups from Skechers, Reebok Easytone and other toning footwear specifically designed to promote fitness.
The Rx Foot health section inside Shoe Sensation is where you’ll find shoes designed to maximize comfort and help alleviate foot-related problems. With styles approved for Medicare reimbursement from brands known for comfort such as New Balance, Aetrex and Propet—Shoe Sensation will be a destination for everyone seeking extra comfort and enhanced mobility.
A prominent fixture in the Rx Foot Health section is the Aetrex iStep SP5000. The iStep is the most revolutionary digital foot analysis device ever created and iStep tests are recommended for everyone who wants to feel great on their feet. In less than 30 seconds the iStep will capture your foot type, pressure points and shoe size and then help recommend the ideal footwear and orthotics for your individual needs.
Keeping with a company tradition of recruiting local talent for store management, Shoe Sensation, Inc. is in the process of selecting Seymour residents to fill management and associate positions for the new location. A new Subway restaurant is also being built at Jackson Park Shopping Center, with a planned opening of January 2011. The store is being relocated from village Center to allow for improved access and a drive-through.
