Regency’s Hammett awarded CMA designation
Evansville, Indiana: Regency Properties, announced today that Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Accounting and Finance, Kevin Hammett, CPA, has been awarded the designation of Certified Management Accountant (“CMA”).
The Institute of Management Accountants awards the CMA designation to individuals exemplifying a commitment to operational and strategic management in a business environment. The CMA designation differs from the better known CPA designation (Certified Public Accountant) in its focus on the internal decision making of a business and the financial objectives.
According to Regency President and CEO, Jim McKinney, "Kevin Hammett's recognition as CMA caps a long list of outstanding academic and professional achievements he has already acquired. We are very pleased to have an officer of his high caliber as a member of the leadership team here at Regency Properties."
Hammett joined Regency in July 2007. Regency Properties, whose home office is in Evansville, owns and manages commercial properties in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama and South Carolina. For over 50 years, the company has specialized in maximizing the consumer shopping experience in middle-American county-seat communities.
