Flint River Plaza's New Owner Will Upgrade, Renovate Center
Flint River Plaza was just purchased by Regency Properties of Evansville, Indiana. They plan to invest about a quarter-million dollars in upgrades and property improvements in the shopping center, located in Montezuma, Georgia.
Regency Properties is a commercial real estate company that owns or manages properties in seven states, including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana. They specialize in retail properties in vibrant, middle American county-seat communities. For over 50 years the company has endeavored to provide continually upgraded and improved commercial centers in the seven states it serves.
“We are very happy to have Regency as a partner in community development here in Montezuma,” said Jimmy Davis, Executive Director, Development Authority of Macon County and Chamber of Commerce. “We like their ideas for renovating Flint River Center, and like their enthusiasm about working with our community to meet consumer needs here. Flint River serves the people in both Montezuma and surrounding towns; it’s the only shopping center in a our trade area, so it’s important to us.”
Flint River Plaza contains several vital retail stores, including Harvey’s Grocery, Fred’s family friendly store, Family Dollar and Farmer’s Furniture stores. The shopping center is over 76,000 square feet of retail space, located at 508 Spaulding Road, just east of US 90.
